Audio Usage

Audio usage is measured in streams.

An audio stream is a single audio playback instance. Whenever your SitePal character speaks, the audio is streamed from SitePal's servers over the Internet. This counts as 1 audio stream. Simply put, audio streams are the number of times your SitePal character speaks.

For example, if your SitePal character is on a web page that receives 10,000 page-views you should expect to use 10,000 audio streams. Similarly, if a visitor plays an audio message five times in a single session, then five audio streams will have been consumed. To optimize your use of audio streams & improve user experience, you may set a "playback limit". Several playback limit options are available to you to finetune stream use.

Each SitePal package is bundled with a different number of audio streams so you may choose a package that best serves your website needs. Should you run low on streams we will send you an automated email message, so that you may purchase additional streams or upgrade to a different package. Unused audio streams are rolled over into the following month.

Licensed Domains

SitePal provides licensed domains as a security feature. To ensure that dynamic TTS streams from your account are not inappropriately used, you must specify the domains (i.e. www.example.com) which are authorized to play your streams. We allow you to optionally enforce licensed domain security for all your stream playbacks (not just dynamic TTS). You may modify your licensed domains at anytime.

Text-to-Speech

With our Text-to-Speech (TTS) functionality, your SitePal characters can speak written text in a natural sounding voice. Simply type in your text to create audio for your character to speak. Over 25 languages are supported!

SitePal Supports TTS in two useful ways which we refer to as Static and Dynamic. Static TTS is audio which you assign to your Scene, to be played back later on. Dynamic TTS audio is audio that is generated in real-time when a visitor interacts with your web page. Using Dynamic TTS allows your SitePal character to speak a personal message for a particular visitor! Note: Dynamic TTS requires programming.

Standard (Client) API

SitePal provides a rich JavaScript API that enables programmers to better integrate your speaking character with your business logic. The API enables detailed control over your character's speech, governing when the character speaks and what it says. You can taylor your spoken message to your visitors, and integrate database information into the character's speech. Review the Client API documentation on our support page.

Create your own 3D PhotoFace

All our Plans include our 3D Photoface avatars. Advanced Plans also enable you to create your own 3D avatar from a photo.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) / Chat

SitePal's AI knowledge base comes loaded with more than 40,000 different topics, which you can customize for your own needs. You can add information to the knowledge base (and remove from it) thus making your character an expert. This technology lets your site visitors find information in an intuitive and enjoyable way by having a conversation with your virtual character.

Unlimited Phone Support

Gold and Platinum subscribers can take advantage of our phone support, available during office hours (US EST). The phone number to call is displayed when you login to your account.

Remove SitePal Branding

Every SitePal Scene briefly displays the SitePal logo when it is being loaded. The Gold plan allows you to remove SitePal branding from all of your scenes.

Add your own Branding

In addition to removing the SitePal-branded loader, the Platinum package enables you to upload your own custom loader (such as your company logo). This feature helps align your SitePal scenes with your brand.

Unlimited Streams

With unlimited streams, unexpected or high usage is not a problem, as your charges are fixed! For enterprise projects, this means big savings!

Unlimited Domains

Enterprise clients may need to support many domains. Note this license does not support reselling the SitePal service. If you are looking to incorporate SitePal characters in your product or service - please contact us to discuss a business partner license.

Enterprise (Server) API

Advanced Asset Management

Advanced asset management allows you to manage hundreds or thousands of audios, backgrounds &Scenes. Perform audio and background searches, sort and filter, bulk upload & download and make bulk changes to all these assets.
